I truly cannot wait for you to visit my studio! I designed it with my clients in mind. While a welcoming and comfortable environment is a key factor, the health and safety of my clients is my number priority. In an effort to keep my clients and their littlest ones protected and worry-free, I keep my studio as clean and germ-free as possible. Here are the health and safety measures I implemented and continue to maintain:
I wash my hands thoroughly before and after each session in addition to extra washes during sessions if needed. I ask that clients wash their hands for at least thirty seconds before leaving their homes. Hand sanitizer is available at the entrance and in the studio.
Since shoes are notorious for carrying germs, I ask that you remove your shoes once you enter the studio and leave them on the shoe mat at the front. New socks are provided for those that would like to wear them.
After each session, the studio is thoroughly cleaned. I sanitize every surface that has possibly been touched with disinfectant wipes between sessions so germs are not spread between clients. Every blanket, wrap, prop, and wardrobe item that was used is washed or sanitized. I use Tide Free & Gentle laundry detergent for sensitive skin, which has no dyes and no perfumes.
As an over-preparer, I put together a kit with a selection of essential first aid items for just-in-case. This kit stays at the studio but comes with me in the car for on-location sessions. It includes typical items such as band-aids, but also non-typical items I have found to be helpful such as this locally made natural bug bite relief roll-on. I also have a fire extinguisher in my studio. I have been certified with the Red Cross in Adult, Child and Baby First Aid/CPR/AED, and I have been vaccinated against Covid-19. In addition, I have taken several newborn photography courses/workshops in which safety is discussed.
Due to the nature of my work (working with unvaccinated newborns or otherwise vulnerable people), I have a strict no-sick policy. Before each session, I monitor my temperature, and I ask that clients check their temperature, too, before coming to the studio. Clients are required to disclose and reschedule the session if their child or anyone coming to the studio has had a fever or other symptoms such as a cough, runny nose, diarrhea or vomiting in the last 48 hours. To reschedule, kindly contact me as soon as possible. There is no fee to reschedule due to sickness!
To keep your babies and families safe, the adults in my household (including myself) are fully vaccinated against Covid-19. If you or someone in your family has been exposed to anyone who has tested positive, or if you have traveled, we will need to reschedule your session for 14 days out. You are welcome to wear a mask while not being photographed, and I will wear one if asked. New disposable masks are on hand at my studio in adult and kid sizes. As always, please wash your hands or use sanitizer as soon as you come into the studio.
As I stated before, I go over and beyond what is required or needed, in an effort to protect my clients to the absolute best of my ability. My clients’ safety and health are my priority, first and foremost.
